Friendly Planet Travel whisks people away on guided group trips all over the world. Amazing destinations with incredible views, cultural excursions, and intimate local events. For the past 15 years or so, I have been able to live vicariously by creating the online maps for these tours. I’ve been to hundreds of locations on my hard drive, and I’m always looking forward to the next adventure.
The webmaster and I have been through several redesigns over the years, to optimize the appeal, clarity, and function of the maps. They take quite a bit of work, and attention to detail. Matched with the well written descriptions and detailed itinerary on their site, they give the viewer an enticing imaginary excursion. At least they do for me!
